This week was interesting because Ivan gave us extra time to do our webquest, which was very nice of him. Although I had a misunderstanding about the assignment so I verified the assignment with Ivan and now I’m done with the assignment.

This is the week that our class has made many mistakes, so Ivan told us all the thing that we’ve did wrong. He also stated for our class to answer some questions, but my answers came from stetchpad.net. A raster file is a image that is composed of pixels, also with raster files you can zoom into the picture and it becomes pixelated. a vector file is a file that is composed of smooth paths, and wheather the picture is large or small the picture wouldn’t loose clarity.Wuth the both of these files anyone can use EPS with both of the files. EPS(Encapsulated Postscript Files) ar postscript files that contain the same mathematical descriptions as the vector files they are made from; however, EPS files are best for all line art illustrations because they can be reproduced at any size or resolution and displaying exactly as they were drawn. Raster files has pixelated edges and vector files have smooth edges. You should use raster files over vector files for images.You should use vector files instead of raster files for page layouts, line art, and illustrations because no matter what size the file is the picture will still have clarity.

Week seven we ask to answer the following questions about copyright laws, but my questions are within my answers. We need copyright laes to set limitations for for copying another individuals work from over the internet or other personal storage places for individuals. I can’t borrow a movie from the library and charge students to veiw it because copyright laws provide exemptions to libraries under certain circumstances because libraries are non-profit organizations and its against the law for people to pay to veiw a movie that’s owned by the library. I can copy pages from a book only if I give credit to the person who wrote it and I only can copy so many pages.It’s aganist the law to copy pages out of a book and don’t includethe person who wrote the book originally. It’s premitted to copy a friend CD only if that person gave the original person person who wrote it credit. It’s against the law to take someone else work and say its yours but the person who wrote it has a copyright date. Sharing MP3 files are wrong because its easy to say that someone else work is yours although its not. Its illegal to install software that you didn’t purchase because you will have to crack the code and code cracking is illegal. Anyone that has websites, books and other things that need to be stored efficiently copyright laws set boundaries for people who try to copy others work. Individuals that doesn’t have copyright dates on their work don’t benefit from copyright laws. Copyright laws are good for the most part because they protect others information from getting copied and not getting credit.

This is week five and since the assingment was to answer the following questions and support my answers this is what I came up with from “Little green gadgets plant ideas in Peru. The purpose of this program is to provide teachers and principles with guidance on pedagogical aspects and on the applications of ICT to their learning activities.The students benefit from this new source of learning by exploring other interesting tactics that help them communicate better and easier with their classmates and their environment. Students also benefit by learning information quicker and much easier, and they will be able to find out things that may help them for their future.The disadvantages for the students is that they would have excessive time to do many other thins that they shouldn’t do on the computer such as chatting with people they don’t know.Teachers benefit from the computers checking their computers to see where they academically stand. Teachers also play multiple roles players in the community. One disadvantage is some teachers are computer illiterate. The community benefits by the children in community going to school making their lives better so their community can get better and be well educated so they environment is the best it can be. Since the computers take up most of the time of the students so there isn’t any confusion in the neighborhoods.I think that this program will work in rural areas because students in the rural ares isn’t use to having necessities such as a computer. So stuents will cherish a learning tactic that deals with having a computer to take home. They will learn how to use the computer in correspondence of the children in the article because students out in rural areas never experienced working with computers. On the other hand, this program will not work in Chicago Public Schools because since students in C.P.S have experienced working with computers so they wouldn’t use the computer properly the way that’s expected of them.

This is now week four and we were assigned to learn wheather vittruian man staements are true or false. Now I find this assignment very interesting because we’re dealing excel and I’m not to fond of using it, but I will do the best I can to do this assignment the correct way. This is a challenge and I am facing it without any doubts because I know that I can do it.

Many of the individuals in our class including you and myself is very smart. One of the things that makes us smart because we learn from each other although you are the teacher. Today in class we discussed the definions of computer and technology. When we discussed computers we observed the inside of computers and what they are used for. You also talked about technology and the etmology of the word. We observed the first computer on a slide. I learned an apple computer in 1977 was $20,000. Now I’m much better with computers since my teacher taught me various ways to ues the computer.

This is the third week of school and we discussed in class weather it will be necessary for children to use computers as a learning tactic. I can’t agree or disagree with this matter, but I can say that it will be a very interesting way to teach children. I do think that its a great way to teach more than 30 students to keep their foccus on the material. I also think that this is a great way to teach all elementary school students because these children tend to get thrown off track when getting taught the material with worksheets and other boring procedures that exist today. Although my class and I discussed this matter and we agreed that computer technology isn’t a good procedure to follow because of the various things that a computer can do wouldn’t be a force to learn for the children it would be a way for children to not focus clearly on the schoolwork because their in front of a computer that does many things. Teachers wouldn’t become better workers because their work is done by a computer not from what they have learn from all of their years in school.
